A note for tlhIngan-Hol subscribers: This week's Time magazine (dated
April 5, 1993) has a one-page article on the Klingon language, and our
own pabpo', Rich Yampell (AKA Captain Krankor) is the star of the
article.
Our list is mentioned as well, somewhat obliquely, as is HolQeD,
somewhat less obliquely.
Some background: This all started with an article about HolQeD that was
published in the Chicago Tribune. That article went out onto the wire
services and was picked up by about 40 other newspapers. Those 40
articles generated about 600 calls to Dr. Shoen, including one from
Time magazine, the result of which was this week's article.
I'm hoping that Dr. Shoen can fill us in on any other exciting news
that may have come from this contact with the print media.
Doubtless, Captain Krankor will want to criticize the grammar of the
article (even *I* noted some flaws).
