I once suggested a new greeting that would translate literally as "you exist."
In practice, that might mean something like "I acknowledge your existence",
shading when appropriate into "You are violating my space."  As yet, we don't
have a Klingon word for "exist", do we?  Maybe it would take the honorific when
talking to one's superiors.
