No... not really. A Klingon sentence has the following structure:
[SubordClause] [Adverb] {IndirectObj} {DirectObj} Verb {Subj} [SubordClause]
The 'duration-phrase' is a subordinate clause; "'e'" is a direct object.
=Second problem: According to TKD 6.2.5, you don't use {'e'} or {net} with
=verbs of saying (p. 67 middle of page). So if we just take out the {'e'},
=maybe the sentence is OK now.
Damn. Okrand *does* list 'ask' among his verbs of telling (I thought it
was just say and tell). I guess you're right then. The jury would still
be out on tlhob/yu', though. My impression is that tlhob was added in
the Appendix as well as the TKD to explicitly define it as ask=request,
not ask=question. I note Qanqor uses tlhob in the latter meaning, as indeed
apparently all Klingonists except for me. Viva idiolect...)
