gee... and I thought tlhIngan had many elements of japanese...
This vulcan language sounds like a direct port.
I would be willing to bet that the syllabary referred to bears a striking
resemblance to the _gojuuon_ syllabary of Japanese (which IS representable
on computers... it just takes some work.  Mail me if youre interested)

Does anybody know the qualifications of whoever put out the Vulcan 
language guide?
