Yes, he does. "Earn", "be (fresh)", "end" etc. *are* the infinitives in
English. MO just leaves out the "to" because it's superfluous. In English,
infinitives are usually preceded by "to", but not always (e.g. "I can speak
Klingon." or "You must be crazy.").
