There is a noun suffix {-'e'} "topic, emphasis" and there is a {chuv}
pronoun, {'e'} "that, preceding sentence." They are not the same thing.
{'e'} "that, preceding sentence" is a whole word, not a suffix. So is
{net}, its no-subject equivalent.
puqpu' chaH qama'pu''e'
the prisoners are children
{-'e'} is the topic suffix. Notice that it's part of the word {qama'pu''e'}.
bIjatlh 'e' yImev
shut up!
stop that you speak!
you speak; stop that!
bIjatlh; 'e' yImev
{'e'} is a pronoun referring to the sentence {bIjatlh} "you speak."
Notice that it's a separate word.
