Oh, and just a note about strange moon math:

People might commonly look up at the Moon and say, =E2=80=9COh, that=E2=80=
=99s a half moon,=E2=80=9D because it=E2=80=99s half illuminated. Nope. =
That=E2=80=99s either a first quarter moon or a third quarter moon, =
because the fraction refers to the life cycle of the moon=E2=80=99s =
illumination, not to the percentage of illumination. So, the boundary =
between waxing quarter and waxing gibbous is First Quarter, and the =
boundary between waning gibbous and waning quarter is Third Quarter. =
There is no =E2=80=9CHalf Moon=E2=80=9D, unless you are referring to the =
Full Moon, which technically is a Half Moon, but nobody calls it that, =
because, well, it=E2=80=99s fully illuminated.

It=E2=80=99s not weirder than having clocks that go from 1 to 12 to =
count the number of hours in a 24 hour day, or having months of a fixed =
number of days each year, but vary among themselves irregularly between =
30 and 31 days, except for February, which is 28 days, except for Leap =
Years, during which it=E2=80=99s 29 days long=E2=80=A6

Most time-related math is weird, especially at warp speed.
