Okay, there lays the detail: in German, the intransitive version of 
"meet" is alwas done using an additional word. Compare this:

"wir treffen dich" - "we meet you" - {pIghom}
"wir treffen uns" - "we meet (us)" - {maghom}

In german, you cannot say "we meet" like "wir treffen". It may be 
similar in other languages.

The translation of the verb must be done with an additional word:
english intransitive "meet (each other)" = "sich treffen"
english transitive "meet (somebody)" = "jemanden treffen"

As usual, you see that Terran languages are much more difficult than 
Klingon!!  :-)

(and you can learn a lot about languages while learning Klingon)
