Is this an ISA or PCI modem. I understand that PCI modems are
"Winmodems" and need 95/98 intervention to work. Traditionally they do
not work with Linux, based on the bulk of the mail here!
I was under the impressionm that an ISA "jumpered" Not PNP modem would
work. I just passed on a PCI Supra, cause it might not work under RH,
evern thogh it would probably start like in a Windoze box. (These things
have a way of migrating through the pile of computers here later in life
and I did not want to not be able to use it on a RH box later.
In fact I'm currently using a Supra 28.8 Ext on the box now. Could not
get a Zoltrix 14.4 to work for ppp either even though it would run
minicom???
