Is the motherboard COM2 disabled in the BIOS?

If you can set the Supra for COM2, does that mean you have
disabled PnP also in the modem? If PnP is disabled, maybe isapnp
is unnecessary or interfering.
Try removing/renaming the config files for isapnp or disabling
it somehow, and treat it as a non PnP modem.
Does the modem have jumpers to disable PnP, set IRQ, and set COM port?
Is it PCI or ISA or PCMCIA.
Does this modem claim to support DOS and OS/2?
Can you run it under Windows as a 'generic internal modem'?
If not, it may be a Winmodem which means 'works only with Windows'.
