ISDN problems. HELP !!!

Hi,
I have got to setup an Linux ISDN server. Connection goed fine with ipppd,
and I get an IP addres. The stange thing is, I can't ping the gateway, nor
the nameserver. What I CAN ping is an address on the same subnet.
Can someone please shine a light on this ???
The config files are pretty standard, most of them are taken form the doc's.
