I have *no* doubt that people will straighten me out if I'm giving erroneous
advice here <<G>>, but I think you can use the fdisk /dev/hdb (if this is a
second ide hd, for instance), make your partition(s), then use cabaret to
mount them easily. It's been a while since I did that, but as I recall,
that was the sequence. Tough finding that cabaret command, too, since the
books I had on linux didn't seem to mention it much, if at all.
