I belive WinModem support would be nice, but it's doubtful that it will
happen soon, if ever. Somebody interested in writing a driver is
probably savvy enough not to have a WinModem in the first place (then
again, it takes just one person...). It's too bad, though, for the
suckers out there who got stuck with WinModems when they bought their
computers at the local superstores. They may have developed some
interest in an OSOS like Linux, but they have to spend a C or two to get
it working, and this on what they reckoned to be a pretty generic
cookie-cutter-type PC (is there such a thing?).
