Alrighty,
In the .fvwm2rc file (actually fvwm2rc.menus.m4 on my box) it has this
section.
#-----------------
# AUTOMATIC MENU generation - begin
define(`WMCONFIG_1', `')
define(`WMCONFIG_2', `')
ifdef(`MINI_ICONS', `', `define(`WMCONFIG_1', `--no-mini-icons')')
ifdef(`NO_ICONS', `define(`WMCONFIG_2', `--no-icons')')
changecom(%%%)
# wmconfig --output=fvwm2 --rootmenu="ROOT_MENU" WMCONFIG_1 WMCONFIG_2
changecom(#)
esyscmd(wmconfig --output=fvwm2 --rootmenu="ROOT_MENU" WMCONFIG_1
WMCONFIG_2 2>/dev/null)
# AUTOMATIC MENU generation - end
#-----------------
As I understand it this goes to my /etc/X11/wmconfig dirrectory and
looks for all the packages. This builds my program menu list with the
area Administration, Amusement, Games, graphics, network, and utilities
which are all 'pop-ups.' After making a package for NS4.5 which looked
like.
netscape name "netscape"
netscape description "netscape"
netscape exec "netscape"
netscape group Internet <--- problem
I could not get it to create a new pop-up in the programs section with
admin.,amus.,games, etc... Still fater trying several variations of the
'group' command, nothing. Just the netscape executable right after
utilities. I'd like to make the pop-out "Internet" for putting other
stuffits in there.
QUESTION: How can I do that with the way wmconfig is setup? To
automatically make that "Internet" pop-out.
yes...I did go back in and hand modify the fvwm2rc.menus.m4 to get my
popout. However, I'd like to use the wmconfig method and would
appreciate it if someone could elaborate.
Thanks
