Cross platform Nfs file locking has always been difficult, because
every frigging UNIX vendor thinks everybody should do it THEIR way.
Just wait til MS comes out with their NFS for NT...
How about these, from RH5.2:
nfs-server-clients-2.2beta37-1
nfs-server-2.2beta37-1
Are you exporting read/write from Linux?
/etc/exports should have "(rw)" at least.
Do you have corresponding user ID numbers and names
on the two systems?
Can an ordinary user on your Solaris write?
