I am just trying to get two machines connected via two NE-2000
cards using a 10-baseT cable under RedHat 3.0.3. So far I have
setup one machine with IP masquerade per the mini-howto and
have tested that each machine can send and recieve packacts
from the other using some software provided from the manufactor.
But now that I am in Linux I can't seem to get the machine to
recoginize the cards. I have added this to my /etc/lilo.conf:
image = /boot/linux-2.0.23
root = /dev/sda3
label = linux
alias = lm
append = "linux ether=0,0x220"
The software under Dos says its at address 220 IRQ 5.
I also tried : append = "linux eth=0,0x220"
Any info on setting this up and getting the two to talk
to each other appreciated.
Thanks,
