OK, I've read the printing HOWTOs and done some searches on the 'Net. I
even waited until everyone else left the office and did some experimenting.
All to no avail.
Can lpd be set up to provide printer pooling capabilities? If so, how, or
where is the HOWTO/FAQ?
For those not familiar with the term, printer pooling means assigning two or
more similar/identical printers to the same spool, so whichever printer is
available first will print the next job in the spool. Also, one of the
printers I'm wanting to pool is faster than the other (significantly) so if
there's only one job waiting to be served, I'd like for it to be handed to
the faster printer by default.
Any takers?
