This is correct. You need to install it from a ext2 fs I discovered today.
It's rather difficult to do a clean install in this way. I had to install
5.0 and then upgrade to 5.2 which is definitely not what I wanted to do.
I've got two ext2 partitions (one for home, one for everything else) and
want to wipe root and keep home but I don't have the room in home to put
everything there and then install from that partition. The problem seems
to stem from the case it sees stuff in. Specifically, the dir the the rpms
are in is RPMS but fat wants it to be Rpms and the installer pukes on
that.
