I used 'wget' to retrieve the entire i386 tree from a mirror site, then
used 'dd' to create the appropriate boot.img and supp.img disks, shut
the machine down and booted off the boot floppy and did a hard disk
upgrade. The installer walks you through the entire upgrade setup, from
where the packages are to which to upgrade and fix deps. Worked like a
champ! Went from a 5.0 machine to 5.2 without a hitch. All services are
running and packages working well.
