Well, I'm not sure what you mean by "3-port" but we have a JetDirect
4000 and I managed to lpd to it this week with amazing ease.
After setting the TCP/IP address from the front panel, I simply used
used printtool to set up a remote printer. I used the same name for
the queue as the printer's DNS name and printed a test page - voila!
Also, telnetting into a printer is kinda fun....:-)
