I have experienced the same connection closed problem... connecting from a
Red Hat 5.1 box to a VMS system.. I can connect from the Red Hat 5.0 box
without a problem...  it seems to be a problem with the telnet client
shipped with 5.1, and probably 5.2.. might want to look into changes made
between the two versions... (I have duplicated this on multiple machines
with the same results.. I'm not just saying "Well... i got one 5.0 box
that it works on, and one 5.1 box that it doesn't...." -- EVERY 5.1 box I
have tried disconnects after a short period of time... every 5.0 box I
tested did not...
