Strange messages in /var/log/messages

I have finally had enough. I keep getting these messages spaced at
about 1 min intervals in /var/log/messages. These cause the file to
grow quite large. Would somebody please help me figure out what they
are and how I might stop them from being recorded. I really haven't
worried about them before now, because I didn't feel them to be a
security problem, just a nuisance. Correct me please if I'm wrong.
