Not sure what you mean here, but either using fetchmailconf to create
a .fetchmailrc file or doing it manually should do all these
functions except the local folder part. Fetchmail will retrieve
the mail and put it in /var/spool/mail/$USER.
Fetchmail is a transfer agent only, if you want a local folder, how
about procmail.
