Well you could always write a little alias for the .bash_profile that
looks basically like this:

function del { mv -i $1 ./trash; }

and add a trash directory to the /etc/skel so an adduser would
automagically create this.

Now as for winbloze users that delete stuff from the linux box in
windows....now that IS a good question. i have not seen linux behave
like netware in this regard, nor do i think it can without a somesort of
kernel-level tweak or program to do this for you.
