*** It's most matter of taste actually. I used KDE since Beta 3 firstly
because it makes the step from Windows less rude. At this point I'm
switching - allready did - to XFCE because it is a small and nifty
XWindows thingy and it saves my RAM for important things like GIMP and a
72Mb file. If you have enough memory and you don't mind resemblance with
Windows go for KDE if it's your first contact with XWindows. However, if
difference is not a problem but RAM and CPU power are try XFCE. I
recommend it. It's also easier to configure than KDE. And last but not
least: Since KDE is trying to be complete and cover almost everything it
has become quit a monster. I started having the same problem as I did
with Windows: Can't find my way around in all the menu's and sub, sub, sub
menu's. Furthermore, a lot of configuration is not documented so you're
kind of dependent on the standard config's.

Anyway, you can also try both - XFCE and KDE - and see witch one you like
most. I can send you scripts to choose which to start before loading them.

Have fun,
Zoki.
