Is it possible to save an entire customized installation of Redhat to a CD
image? I've been using a DSO based program to make a sector image of my
Windows 95 FAT16 drives. This has allowed me to successfully restore my
systems in under ten minutes. I would like to do the same with Linux, but I
am afraid of having perms change on me if I just copy the files to a CD. Of
course, I would be even more interested in a way of using Linux to image 95
and NT machines. My current imaging system allows me to boot from a CD (on
newer machines), answer two questions then walk away. When I come back ten
minutes later, the system is fully restored. i'm certain there has to be a
way to do this with Linux. I wouldn't even mind using a boot floppy, if I
could just get linux to fully restore any custom OS install from CD. Any
ideas?
Thanks
