I am wanting to buy a CD Writer. Either an internal IDE
or an external parallel port one. While I read the HOWTO
on this, the howto and the list seem a bit outdated. As
I recall the new 2.0.35 kernel has much better support
for both the IDE and Parallel CD writers.
What I would like to know is who has one of these guys
running under Linux, using the new 2.0.35 support, etc.
I would like to know the model number, so I can go ahead
and order one like within two days. It has to be a current
model, not the old dinosaurs in the HOWTO.
I am ambivalent on using an internal one, or a parallel
external one. Will probably make up my mind on the day I
order.
