all is well except for certain applications whose attributes i want to
change.
for example, the size of the display windows for telnet, xv, ghostview,
xgalaga...
question. how can i change the geometry of the display screen?
my display both actual and virtual is set to 640x480 at 32bpp. it
appears that the default geometry for xgalaga; vertical is slightly
larger. perhaps 600?
i've tried the geometry option in xinitrc to no avail. are there command
line
options i can specify from within a terminal? if so what is the syntax?
or do i need
to consider editing the .Xdefaults file somehow? i'm running X11R6
mach64/kde.

regards,

jack
