Ha ha ha! You're going to love this story.
While there have been rumors about the Unreal people being convinced to
do a port, the WINE people have the Win95 version already working on
Linux. I tried it a week or two ago, and it worked as well as in Win95,
except that sound doesn't work yet. According to the WINE guys who are
working on it, sound was "close," and might even be done by now. There
are links to more information at http://www.linuxgames.com, right now
about two pages down on their main news screen (past an article about
Quake3 being simultaneously developed for Win32 and Linux).
Like I said before: Hull breach in Redmond. A few more like this and
they will sink like a rock.
