I'm working on the same thing Dave and I got the same message till I tried
to run the scripts from my root account.

"/usr/sbin/pppd: This system lacks kernel support for PPP.
This could be because the PPP kernel module is not loaded
or because the kernel is not configured for PPP."

While running the script as root eliminated the error message and caused
the scripts to do their thing, right after connecting the connection is
disconnected for some unknown reason - or at least it is on my box. As I
am using the same configuration as is used in the Network Configurator
tool I'm at a loss as to what to do to try and correct this. The only
thing I can see is that I don't seem to have the /etc/rc.net or any of the
variations of the script which is mentioned in the documentation.

Can anyone tell me where I can get one of these, if I actually
need it, or where I can find documentation on how to create one?

	Brent Sims
