I think you mean 2.0.35 kernel unless you have a "pre" kernel since I
don't think 2.0.36 is out yet.

As far as your question though, the 5.2 version will have many updated
rpm files (some new features, some bug fixes, probably better
configuration tools, etc.).  If you're perfectly happy with 5.1 then I
wouldn't bother upgrading now.

As far as the 2.2 kernel - there are a number of other packages that
need to be updated when you change the kernel (e.g., I think you need
a new version of the ppp package).  So when 2.2 comes out, I will
gladly pay RedHat $40 or $50 for an official version that takes care
of all these dependency problems so I don't have to worry about it.

But if you're the kind of person who has the time and understands what
you need to do to get everything working, you can "upgrade" individual
packages yourself whenever you want by downloading them off the
internet.
