after tackling ppp, snd configuration and tweaking the console to
behave the way
i desire its now time to configure X.
currently i'm running the default fvwm2, the server is mach64 set to
display 32bpp
at 640x480(virtual 800x600) using 2mb of memory.
first, i desire to change the geometry of application windows, ie.
netscape which
i've done succesfully by editing /etc/X11/fvwm2. however, i've been
unsuccessful
in changing the geometry of most applications i'm running(ghostview,
galaga et. al). i've scanned through the .xinitrc, .Xresources, and
.Xclients files that i've
copied to /home directory(running as root) but it appears to me this is
not where i
should be looking. i've sifted through a file fvwmxxx located in roots
/tmp directory which contains code about these applications.( ie exec
xgalaga &)
now is this where i should specify geometry specifications? where are
the defaults sepecified?
can i use xlsfonts to in xwindows to change fonts? can you reccomend a
font type/size
to use?
