Hi,
Can anybody tell me why the floppy drive works fine under RedHat 2.0.26 and
does not do it under 2.0.34 ? or if there is a way to keep the /dev
directory unchanged when I upgrade the whole system ?
When I try to do a fdformat /dev/fd0 or /dev/fd0H1440, the cursor stays
blinking "forever" while the command is supposing to be verifying the
format already done, however if I do a fdformat -n /dev/fd0H1440 it works
fine !!! ( although I can not mount the floppy afterwards ...)

Is it a kernel trouble, what should I do ????

THKS !!!
