Hi,
I had the same problem and that is
what Max Weninger answered me:

"Hi,

I assume that you use a 2.0.35 kernel.
The problem is a bug in the 2.0.35 kernel with the lp driver.
Use 2.0.34 instead or wait for 2.0.36 :-(

I used the following solution:
Copy the file lp.c from a 2.0.34 kernel to the 2.0.35 sources and
rebuild the kernel.
This helps for me but maybe there are some side-effects when using the
old file I dont know. So if you want so stay on the secure side use the
2.0.34 kernel."

This solution worked great for me
