Yeah... I was gonna mention the mnt directory... generally the data is read
from the disk and stuck in there and things are sync'd.. but that only
really goes for floppies (at least this is what i've pieced together).. I
think perhaps there is data being read from perhaps a CD and then it's being
written to the mount directory... (maybe when you do an ls or something on a
large directory).. <shrug>  I'm clueless.. it's almost 5am
