Ok now I am guessing but..
What I think whats happening is that kppp is trying to dock. Kppp is written
for the KDE windows manager and KDE (like you know) has a tool-bar. when
connected kpp tries to dock to this and show you the flashing lights a la
windows style Enlightenment has no such thing and this is what is probably
locking kppp. To correct this try disabling dock into panel and/or minimaze
windows on coonect from the kppp ppp options screan.
Another (better) solution would be to edit the scripts for manual dial (I belive
there is an app that will write the scripts for you but I cant remember the
name). Its not all that hard and you will be able to conect from the terminal
(very useful if you just destroyed X windows by accident and need to download
it again)
Hope this helps
