I am new to LINUX so please forgive -
We are running RedHat 5.1 and are attempting to get and LDAP server
running. I have used the man page recommendation of referring to the
SLAPD and SLURPD Administrators guide, but I have yet to be successful
getting it to run. I have installed the following RPMs:
ldap-3.3~386
ldap-dev~386
ldap-ser~386
The Admin guide is obviously referring to a different LDAP installation,
but follows fairly closely until trying to create the database. I
created a sample LDIF file but keep getting a segmentation error when
attempting the ldif2ldbm. The slapd.conf file and the sample LDIF
contain complementary information.
Any suggestions or references are most appreciated!
Thanks.
