Remember to do some traffic projections before settleing on isdn. if your
isdn is measured rate service ihe costs of a setup like this ca neat you
alive. you may also want to look at network topology a little in this
respect to minimize the number of links brought up in getting from point a
to b. depending on how much traffic you have and between what points it
flows you may do better with dedicated non-dialup connections that you pay
a flat rate for (t1, frame relay, dsl).

for the modems cyclades has some nice hardware. either cards that go into
the linux box or you may want to look at their pr3000 router for the
central hub site.
sangoma also makes some nice cards for this
there is also another outfit in canada that I can't think of the name
right now that makes plug in isa cards with linux drivers. the advantage
with their cards is they look like a network card to the kernel rather
than a modem. remember that many serial ports will only do 115k
rather than 128 k so as to be a bottleneck with isdn. be shure to check
the total agrigate throughput of any solution you consilder as well.
