That being the case, his Windows install already is acting as a DHCP client
and is getting a response back from the router (assuming he is correct in
his accessment, as many times the routers themselves act as DHCP servers...
configured by their remote hosts...)....
Shouldn't all he need to do is set up a DHCP client?
