I don't actually use X, but listening to this conversation that sounds like
a very crappy way to do it. What if I'm typing? I don't want to have to
reach for the mouse just to copy and paste!

(I often use Shift+Cursors in M$ Windows to select text, then it's easy
to press Ctrl+C/X/V to copy/cut/paste.)

Surely there must be another way in X?
