Xbru will not come up until you have run the bruconfig utility.
Do this to configure your drive, then launch XBRU from a Window...
BTW: The manuals are available on their web page...

I cannot seem to find any notes about getting a
tape drive working to use BRU in Xwindows.
The tape is a Sony SDT9000 on the SCSI interface
ID 2, scsi port 3, lun 0
Any pointers appreciated.
