Okay, I just got a brand spanking new computer and ordered it with
Red Hat pre-installed (from Atipa). Benefit: they made darned sure all
the hardware was linux-compatible (and they did a good job of it).
Down side: they did a crummy installation job. I'm spending all my
time trying to clean up after it.
In particular, they installed onto one big 6-Gig partition; I'd really
rather have things split up. Can anyone recommend a repartitioning
utility that will work on a linux partition? My understanding is that
fips will only do dos/windows partitions...
Since it's a brand new installation, defragmenting (hopefully) won't
be needed, but is there a convenient utility to check?
I'm really hoping I don't need to re-install from scratch, having just
paid someone to do it for me. I guess I deserve it...
