Is any using StarOffice to get their email?
I set it up today to collect mail from a second email address I use for our
Mountain Bike Club. Mail seemed to be downloaded except as soon as I came
offline I could only read the headers of each email. When click on an item to
see the body of the email I get an error message to the effect that I am not
online.
Does SO need fetchmail etc? I just removed these from my system because Netscape
doesn't need them :-(
Is there a SO_user_list so I don't have to post OFF messages to this list?
In case anyone else is having problems with SO I noticed on the Amazon site that
'Teach yourself SO for Linux in 24 hours' will be published in November. It has
got to be an improvement on the help document that comes with SO. This hardly
mentions accessing the Internet or using email. At $20 including CDROM the book
seems to be quite a bargain.
