Modify the source, i haven't looked on pop3d which is bundeled with
RedHat.
Read on syslog, syslog.conf, openlog, and LOCAL facilities. You can
use LOCAL facilities, because they don't get filtered with *.priority.
I use qpopper from www.qualcommm.com (makers of Eudora) and I tried
modifying the source so it would log in LOCAL3, so an entry in the
syslog.conf could be:
local3.* /var/log/popper
