Samba Question

I have a small samba question.
I've got a working samba server. I can connect to my Win95 system and see the
file names...both 8.3 and long file names. However, I can only get the 8.3
names. The long file names are not "found" if I do a get.
Is this a function of samba or is there a setting that I've missed???
