I'm new to Linux, and this has puzzled me for a while. I could connect
PPP, but after that, I couldn't telnet/ftp back to my machine from
elsewhere. Sure I could telnet to the IP I'm assigned from my machine
(not using dumb ip address 127.0.0.1). Also I noticed that my LICQ
couldn't establish a 'direct connection' with others (must send messages
'thru server').
My guess is there's something blocking any incoming 'logging'
requests... I don't even know if I call this right. Could someone give
me a hint? I'd appreciate that VERY MUCH.
PS. I did serch thru RH FAQ...
