No way except for looking in the mailing list archives. There is no
search engine (Red Hat continues to snooze), but you can still download
pages containing hundreds of subject lines which can be searched with a
browser's text-search abilities. Furthermore, I can't say for sure, but
I'll bet the Red Hat Users' FAQ contains an answer to the original
question.
Okay, okay, it's not the end of the world if a beginner asks a FAQ, but
the quality of the resulting advice erodes as the individuals who know the
answers tire of typing them out.
