List,

Hello everyone. I'm still having some problems getting the screen
saver to work on my RH 5.1 box. The box is pretty straight forward....an
old Compaq Deskpro 4000, Pentium Pro 200, with 96 megs of RAM. The box
runs perfectly peachy except for the screen saver. I'm using the
AfterStep desktop style. When I go to the pop-up menu and select
"Screen Saver with password" nothing happens!! I can't lock the box up
no matter what I select. About ten or so minutes of no activity gives a
blank screen, kinda like an energy saver thing, but no screen saver ever
appears and no password for re-entry is required.....just a bump of the
mouse gets me right back to the desktop. Anybody have any ideas?? I've
been to xinitrc and added a line, setterm -blank 0, but it doesn't do
anything. Thanks in advance for any help!!

John Pierce
