Intel Pentinum II 300 Mhz ( Celeron)
64 MB RAM
2 HD:
1,2 GB ( just for linux )
4.3 GB M$ and other Stuff...
Personal use, not office or job.

The reason I am trying to create a bootdisk, is that I dont want LILO to be
placed on
the boot record of my hard disks. I prefer to have it on a floppy because
that is the only
way of booting linux and avoiding family problems...
I have always had the boot disk made by the installation process, on
previous versions of Red Hat, and this is the first time I am having
trouble with it.

If I do this, then how can I set the root password ??, the only way I know
is to make
the boot.img floppy, but this always starts the installation process, as
far as I know.

The floppy drive works fine under M$ DOS and Windows 98
