Did you include printer support in the kernel? (If it came precompiled
then it's probably there but perhaps you should have a quick check.)
If you're using RH5's _PrintTool_ then it really should detect it... I'm
running a Laserjet 4MP on my father's Linux box & all I had to do was
choose /dev/lp1 as the device, set it as a Postscript Printer and hey
presto.
If it's not even detecting the printer _port_, I think you should make
sure it'll print under Windows (just to rule out hardware issues) and then
wonder if perhaps RH5's printer drivers/'lp' daemon aren't running
correctly. I wish I could help more. :-/ Sorry :)
